United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) was founded in 1945 with the contribution of 37 countries. Located on Place de Fontenoy Paris , Unesco’s main building which houses the headquarters of Unesco was inaugurated on 3 November 1958.

 

Unesco was founded to heal the damage WWll dealt to the world.  According to Unesco, wars are not the way to find peace. Dialogue and mutual understanding is the way to find peace. It must be built upon intellectual and moral solidarity of humanity.

 

Unesco supports many undeveloped countries by creating opportunity for people to educate themselves, freely express their feelings and ideas, as its the way to be democrated. By promoting to cultural heritage and the equal reputation of all cultures, Unesco strengthens the connections between nations.

 

Having undertaken the mission building and maintaning peace, Unesco develops educational tools to get every individual educated and to make them live without hate and intolerance.
